Late Sri. N.K. Padmanabhan Vaidyar spent the initial years of his life learning principles (yogas) of Ayurveda and their applications from ancient manuscripts that were handed down by the great Vaidyars of ancient times. His persistent efforts deepened his lifelong dedication to traditional Ayurvedic practice, and over 40 classical formulations are credited to him.

He is one of the eleven distinguished ‘Vaid’ honoured with the ultimate title in Ayurveda, the Vaidyavachaspathy.
